Liebe am Fjord is an ARD TV series that was broadcast on Fridays in prime time from April 2010 to November 2017 . A total of ten melodramas ran on Friday evening in the first.

Production background

In mid-May 2009, filming began for the pilot film Der Gesang des Windes and the second episode Summer Storm , which marked the beginning of a television film series about love and family dramas in different locations in Norway , such as near Farsund or in the harbor village of Sogndalstrand . In 2011 and 2013 two new films were shown on television, and in the following years one melodrama was shown each year. The Age of the Earth , the last and tenth film in the Friday film series, was shown on SRF 1 on October 19, 2016 , before the German premiere on November 21, 2017 in Das Erste. In addition to well-known German-speaking actors, Norwegian actors were also cast in the films.
