Renate Kroessner

Renate Krößner (born May 17, 1945 in Osterode am Harz ; † May 25, 2020 in Mahlow ) was a German actress .

Life

Krößner grew up as a teacher's daughter in East Berlin , attended secondary school there and graduated from the State Drama School in Berlin in 1964 . Her stage stations were Parchim in 1966/67 , Stendal in 1967/68 , Senftenberg in 1970/71 , and from 1971 on Brandenburg an der Havel . She then gave guest appearances at various theaters.

From 1965 Krößner took part in several films and television plays, including as Caramba at Manfred Krug's side in the turbulent comedy Feuer unter Deck , which was initially banned after Krug's departure to the West in 1977 and only a few copies were released in theaters in 1979.

In 1980 she played the lead role of pop singer Ingrid Sommer, called Sunny, in the DEFA film Solo Sunny by Konrad Wolf . The jazz singer Regine Dobberschütz took over the vocal part of the role . For this role, Krößner received the Silver Bear film award at the Berlinale in West Berlin in February 1980 . The GDR authorities did not like this award ceremony , so that from then on they no longer received any film offers and decided to leave the GDR. On July 27, 1985, Krößner was able to leave the GDR together with her partner, the actor Bernd Stegemann , after several exit applications .

In the West, Krößner first played the short-term girlfriend of the lawyer Robert Liebling in the lawyer series Liebling Kreuzberg (again at Manfred Krug's side). Later she appeared again and again in German crime series, for example in Polizeiruf 110 , in Tatort (including 1988 together with Götz George in the Schimanski Tatort Broken Flowers ), in the crime series Stubbe - Von Fall zu Fall (where she in 22 episodes the Wife of the title character played by Wolfgang Stumph ) and in Sperling and the silent scream at the side of Dieter Pfaff . Most recently, Krößner was seen from 2017 in the RTL series Der Lehrer as the mother of the title character.

In the comedic drama Everything on Sugar! from Dani Levy , Krößner played the role of club boss Linda in 2004. In the TV movie Kiss Me Comrade! she shared the role of Alexandra Lütjens with Josefine Preuss . In 2006 she appeared in the children's and youth film Mondscheinkinder .

In 2005, Krößner married her long-term partner Bernd Stegemann. The couple lived in Mahlow . Renate Krößner died there on May 25, 2020 at the age of 75 after a brief serious illness. Her final resting place is in the cemetery of the Dorotheenstädtischen and Friedrichswerder communities (grave CK-003-020) in Berlin-Mitte .
