RTL.de is one of the largest German-language news websites in Germany. The headquarters of RTL.de are in Cologne . RTL Interactive GmbH with Jan Wachtel as managing director is responsible for the content. The company is a subsidiary of Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland, which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of RTL Group.
Website and content
In addition to the information about the in-house programs and shows of the television broadcaster RTL Television, additional sections have been dealt with on RTL.de since the relaunch in 2018. history
In August 2000, the website RTL.de, which at that time was still mainly concerned with the associated private television broadcaster RTL Television , was expanded to include the offerings of the broadcasters RTL II and Super RTL and presented itself on the Internet as "RTL World", which two years later changed to Auto content has been expanded. In addition, some sections have been shortened in order to move the TV program closer to the center of the website.
There was another update of the website on February 22nd, 2007, when the color scheme was changed to dark blue and an improved integration of the video content into the offer. Half a year later, in October 2007, the mobile RTL portal mobile.rtl.de was published, which provided videos, ring tones, games and special information packages for mobile users.
Since December 19, 2018, the RTL.de website has been reporting, in addition to its own formats, on current topics from the areas of politics, business, sport, lifestyle and other topics in general life. In addition, in the course of the relaunch, the advice portal for women and families frauenzimmer.de and the entertainment brand RTL Next were integrated into the redesigned general interest portal RTL.de.
