The Bärenbusch nature reserve is located in the area of ​​the city of Neustadt (Dosse) and the municipality of Wusterhausen / Dosse in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district in Brandenburg .

The area with the identification number 1395 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of October 30, 2001 . The approximately 458 hectare nature reserve extends west of the core city of Wusterhausen / Dosse. The B 102 runs south of the area and the B 5 to the east . The Dosse , a right tributary of the Havel , flows on the southeastern edge, and the Jäglitz flows on the western edge and through the northwestern part .
