Rheinsberger Rhin and Hellberge

The Rheinsberger Rhin and Hellberge nature reserve lies in the area of the cities of Neuruppin and Rheinsberg in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district in Brandenburg .
The area with the identification number 1617 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of February 10, 2009 . The 978 hectare nature reserve extends south of the core town of Rheinsberg. The B 122 runs along the eastern and southern fringes of the area, and the Rhin , a right tributary of the Havel, flows not far to the southwest .
