action

Hee-yeon's mother with dementia is not doing well. The family therefore decides to move near Mount Jangsan, the mother's hometown. Hee-yeon thinks she could be better here. So the family moves into a house on the mountain, Hee-yeon and her husband Min-ho, their daughter Jun-hee and Hee-yeon's mother Sun-ja.

Shortly after moving in, two children pass the house looking for their dog. You continue to search in the forest of the mountain and come to a walled-in place that was recently broken into. One of the children looks inside and is suddenly pulled into the cave. But she can come back. They tell Min-ho and Hee-yeon, who are looking into it. Hee-yeon looks around and finds a little girl while Min-ho finds a dying woman in the cave. The police take care of the matter. The girl disappears first. But in the evening it suddenly stands in front of the house.

The girl doesn't speak, and Hee-yeon first cleans her up and gives her new clothes. Suddenly she says her name is Jun-hee. Both Hee-yeon and her daughter are amazed that she happens to have the same name as Hee-yeon's daughter. Meanwhile, Hee-yeon's and Min-ho's eyes feel strange. Even Sun-ja is no better. She hears voices. Once she even tries to kill the mysterious girl, but Hee-yeon is able to protect her.

But a short time later, Sun-ja and Min-ho disappear. Commissioner Kim tells Hee-yeon that there have been several missing persons in the area. When she tells him about the girl, Kim shows her a photo from the 1980s. Hee-yeon recognizes the child as the mysterious girl Jun-hee. Commissioner Kim goes through old documents. In the evening, Hee-yeon is visited by an old woman who says that the little girl is the child of a shaman who worshiped the Jangsan tiger. This shape shifter could imitate people, lure them into a trap and eat them. The shaman kept offering sacrifices to the tiger. The child was abused by her father for making offerings. The tiger wanted the girl's energy. Everywhere the girl appears, people disappear shortly afterwards.

Hee-yeon suspects evil and runs home to her daughter. This was attracted by a being crawling out of the mirror by imitating Hee-yeon's voice. Jun-hee runs away and hides. The girl comes slowly and speaks to the girl in Hee-yeon's voice. She protects Jun-hee. Hee-yeon eventually finds them both in the closet. She asks the girl to show her where her husband is. She promises to watch out that her father can do nothing more to her. The girl leads Hee-yeon into the cave. There suddenly the Jangsan tiger appears in the form of the shaman. They flee and meet Min-ho on the run. Min-ho is blind, and Hee-yeon can hardly see anything either. Min-ho says they have to get out of the cave and warns Hee-yeon about the girl. Hee-yeon finds a way out with Min-ho while the girl cries and doesn't come along. Then Hee-yeon hears her missing son's voice, and she goes back into the cave.
