action

A security guard is knocked down and seriously injured when a warehouse is broken into. Schmücke and Schneider are called and start their investigations. Prosecutor Meissner tells them that there have been several such break-ins in the past few months, following a similar pattern. A few days later, the body of Matthias Noack, who was also killed with an iron bar, was found in a junkyard. Since Noack is currently serving a suspended sentence, it stands to reason that he has something to do with the break-ins. According to the initial results of the investigation, it is clear that Matthias Noack was actually there at the last break-in, but also that he very likely wanted to get out of the gang. As a result, the officers concentrate on Noack's environment. This includes the convicted Mirko Rohwedder, whose former girlfriend was last with Matthias Noack and is even expecting a child from him. While Inspector Schneider follows this trail, Schmücke sheds light on the Noacks' family relationships. He finds out that the brothers Thomas and Matthias Noack did not have a good relationship with each other and after Matthias got off the beaten track, his family cast him out. A last attempt at rapprochement failed and Matthias was not given a chance to be taken back into the family's bosom. In the meantime, another stroke of fate had struck the family, because the day before Matthias died, Thomas's six-year-old son had drowned. Schmücke suspects a connection and finds out that Matthias suffered from a childhood trauma. His parents blamed him for his brother's accident, the consequences of which he can still feel today. The inspector therefore suspects that Matthias, in revenge, lured his nephew into a boat and then pushed him overboard. But another forensic investigation clearly shows that the boy had been sitting all alone in the boat.

After Thomas Noack was initially suspected of having killed his brother, traces of blood on his father's suit prove that he must have been the culprit. The commissioners confront Achim Noack with the results of the investigation and he admits the act: He was firmly convinced that Matthias had pushed his grandson into the water because he had found his pocket knife in the boat. Little did he know that the boy had recently received the knife from his uncle.

Schneider manages to track down the gang of thieves in his investigation and to convict Mirko Rohwedder and Henry Borst.

criticism

Tilmann P. Gangloff from tittelbach.tv thinks: “Marco Serafini's accustomed unambitiously staged 'Polizeiruf 110 - Verstoben' (2007) only superficially tells a crime story. In reality it is a family tragedy. Finally no antics between the two Herberts; the case is also told in a concentrated manner. But the viewer is sold for blind / stupid. "

The Berliner Morgenpost says: "It is quite fun to watch the two cozy, but always astute and sympathetic stoics at work in the ARD crime series" Polizeiruf 110 "."

Schabia from the Stralau blog is similarly positive : “Except for a few small things, ' offending ' is a successful Halle police call. The dramatic family story is exciting, but fortunately not too sentimental, the investigations in other directions fit in well with the plot and do not steal valuable police calling time. Only the numerous coincidences that contributed to the solution of the case seem very constructed. "

The critics of the television magazine TV Spielfilm , on the other hand, only gave it a medium rating (thumbs to the side) and found: “A tragic story as a homely crime food”.
