Klaus-Jürgen Steinmann (also Klausjürgen Steinmann ; born August 7, 1941 in Landsberg an der Warthe ) is a German actor .

Life

Steinmann grew up in Halberstadt . After completing school, a three-year apprenticeship followed with a successful degree as a mechanic. From 1960 to 1963 he served in the naval forces / People's Navy . From 1963 to 1966 he studied at the State Drama School in Berlin, which is now the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts . During his studies, Steinmann received several guest roles at the Deutsches Theater and the Berliner Ensemble . This was followed by a two-year engagement at the Parchim State Theater and finally he was at the Schwerin State Theater for two years . His roles included a. Macduff, Sergeant Werner, Wurm, Valentin and Templar.

From 1970 to 1991 Steinmann was a permanent member of the drama ensemble on German television . During this time he received guest roles in the Dresden Youth Theater . From 1975 he was director, director and author of the "Märchenspiele-Berlin". From 1984 Steinmann was head of the “Berlin Soloists Team”, a touring ensemble with musical and literary programs and readings.
