Bloody Ice is a German crime film by Dietmar Klein from the year 2000. It is the 214th episode in the film series Polizeiruf 110 and the 11th case for the Halle inspectors Schmücke and Schneider .
The commissioners try to solve the attack on an ice hockey player, which ends up fatally.
action
The ice hockey player Gerald Oetzmann is found on the ice rink covered in blood late in the evening by the hall warden Kober after a club training session. He would not have died from the cut on his neck, but if he had been on the ice until the next day, hypothermia would certainly have been his certain death. As an exception, Schmücke and Schneider are investigating this murder attempt, as Inspector Schneider is himself a member of the Penguins ice hockey club and the case is close to his heart.
Commissioner Schmücke first asked Wolfgang Sänger, the ice hockey player's coach. His wife is also involved in ice sports and trains a young talent in figure skating. Sixteen-year-old Lisa even lives with the singer. Meanwhile, Schneider looks around Oetzmann's apartment and finds a large amount of doping substances. He then subjects the entire ice hockey team to a doping control. Martin Lüthje and Benno Thiess are the only ones who test positive and are then banned from the next game. Coach singer is so angry that he throws them both out of the club. Thiess cannot explain the result, he allegedly did not take anything more than cough syrup. For the commissioners, the drug deal between the players holds a potential potential for conflict. You continue to follow this trail, and you also come across little ice princess Lisa, who had been suspected of doping in the past. It turns out that Lisa is pregnant and that her trainer has already set up an abortion appointment, as having a child at this point would ruin her protégé's career and all of her work.
Gerald Oetzmann dies completely unexpectedly, although he was on the mend. The autopsy reveals an air embolism , which must have been caused by an injection of air into his veins. Schmücke and Schneider managed to find the instrument of the crime very quickly, because the perpetrator had disposed of the relatively large syringe and the rubber gloves used in a rubbish bin in the clinic. The DNA remains lead to Wolfgang Sänger, who also turns out to be the father of Lisa's baby. He says that he wanted to protect himself and Lisa, because Oetzmann had found out about fatherhood and had singer with his knowledge in hand and blackmailed.
Lisa Oetzmann had caused the wound on the neck when she resisted him. After training he became intrusive and she had injured him with the blade of her skate. But Veronika Sänger is also arrested after she confesses to dragging the injured man onto the cold ice surface in the hope that he would never wake up again and that the blackmail, which she also knew, would end.
background
Bloody Ice was produced by the “Mitteldeutsches Filmkontor” (MDF) on behalf of the MDR and shot in Halle and Leipzig . On January 23, 2000, the first broadcast of ARD's prime time took place on German television.
