Thekla Carola Wied (* 5 February 1944 in Breslau as Thekla Wiedmann ) is a German actress .

Life

Thekla Carola Wied grew up as the daughter of a Latin teacher in Berlin and attended the grammar school in the gray monastery . After graduating from high school, she studied acting at the Folkwang School in Essen from 1965 to 1967 . Her acting career began in 1966 with theater performances in Essen, where she worked until 1969. In 1971, Wied made guest appearances at the Saarland State Theater in Saarbrücken , in 1972/1973 and 1975/1976 she played at the State Theater Braunschweig and 1974/1975 at the State Theater Wiesbaden . She then made guest appearances on numerous stages. Her stage name is made up of the first name of her sister Carola and the beginning of her last name Wiedmann.

She became known to a larger audience in 1967 through a role in the film Trace of a Girl . At the side of Peter Weck , she achieved her breakthrough as a television actress in the family series I Marry a Family as a mother of three children who, after the divorce, has another child with her second husband. In the 1980s, Wied was a very popular television actress who starred in many series. At that time she was in a relationship with the publisher Horst van Diemen.

Wied has been married to Hannes Rieckhoff , the former Lord Mayor of Backnang and former board member of Süwag Energie , since 1992 and lives in Munich and Altmünster .
