Herzdamen an der Elbe is a German comedy film that was directed in 2012 by director Thomas Nennstiel on behalf of ARD and ARD Degeto . It is the continuation of ladies of heart .

action

The cook Maria Lieblich runs a restaurant with Austrian cuisine in Dresden together with her friends Carola Bleibtreu and Steffi Krieg. The restaurant has not yet established itself, however, and so the three women are in financial difficulties, which they are trying to solve with the help of their house bank.

A regular guest of the restaurant, the elegant shipowner Hermann Augartner, also becomes aware of these difficulties and offers Maria that the three ladies can organize a large buffet on a ship of his paddle steamer fleet. In order to acquire the necessary equipment, the bank must first increase the loan. Maria Lieblich naively accepts the offer of the shipowner who ensnared her and relies on his verbal promise.

After a new cook has been found, the preparations for the buffet are in full swing, thanks to the commitment of Carola, who flirts with the evangelical pastor of the nearby Christ Church (in reality the Church of Maria am Wasser ) and uses this contact to go on to get cheap assistants for kitchen work. The residents of a luxurious senior citizens' home are simply persuaded to peel potatoes. In the middle of the preparations, Mr. Augartner's message bursts out that he unfortunately has to cancel the buffet because the tour group is unfortunately stuck at the airport in London. Without a written contract, he lets the ladies sit on the costs and the food.

As luck would have it, the owner of the paddle steamer on which the buffet was supposed to be among the residents of the retirement home is the shipowner's mother. This unceremoniously signs the buffet offer of the restaurant operators and thus forces her unloved son to pay the costs he has caused. So the ladies are rid of their existential worries and can now devote themselves entirely to the restaurant and the looming or already existing love affairs.
