action

Paula Markmann, married to the real estate agent Kurt, doesn't like it that her husband always calls her "Moppelchen". After she has lost a lot of weight and fits into almost the same dress size as twenty years ago, she finds this particularly unsuitable. Unfortunately, Kurt doesn't even notice her transformation.

But then the unexpected death of her sister Paulas takes full attention. The funeral ceremonies reveal that Barbara had a daughter named Maggie. The girl is about the same age as Paula and Kurt's son Daniel. The estate consists of the run-down inn “Zum Schwan” and the attached apartment. It is Paula and Barbara's parents' house. Maggie is determined to renovate and reopen the inn. Paula is impressed by the young woman's determination.

The inn is surrounded by a very beautiful property located directly on a picturesque lake. This arouses Kurt's interest, as this property would be suitable for doing business with a hotel chain and with considerable profit if Kurt's plan works. Paula does not yet know that her husband has had a secret relationship with his considerably younger fitness trainer Verena for a long time. Since Paula wants to support Maggie in her plans, Kurt sees his plans in jeopardy and is determined to come up with something.
