action

After retiring from her professional life, Linda Rosenau actually decided to enjoy the togetherness with retired Latin teacher Jakob and to explore the world. The two of them not only share a common sympathy, but also their three grandchildren. Linda's daughter Leonie and Jakob's son, who are the parents of the triplets, now also want to get married. However, this messes up Linda's own plans for the future, as she and Jacob almost only function as babysitters for their grandchildren. Linda is also skeptical about her daughter's marriage plans, as, in her opinion, she should first make a career so that she can meet her husband at eye level. A surprising opportunity soon presents itself, because the eccentric fashion czar Marius von Boonen, whom Linda knows from her professional past, needs help with a new advertising campaign that Leonie is supposed to help him with.

Meanwhile, a young woman named Betty reports to Jakob. She and his son Thomas had a one-night stand some time ago , the result of which is little Fritz and for which she urgently needs day care. Jacob agrees on the condition that Betty, in light of this new development, does not break the planned wedding. Therefore Jakob doesn’t want to let Thomas know that he still has a child and comes up with all sorts of excuses about Fritz’s true origin. Linda is indeed pouring pure wine for the young people, but she accepts Jacob's decision, who now hardly finds time for Linda because of all the babysitting. After Leonie and Thomas decide shortly before the wedding date to wait a little longer and cancel the celebrations, his father informs him about Fritz's real identity. Leonie is initially shocked, but they are convinced by the efforts Thomas shows the triplets and her. She is determined to hold on to their future together. Even if more of Thomas' children might turn up.

Since there is now no wedding, Jakob surprises his Linda with two plane tickets to Myanmar , where she has always wanted to go.

Reviews

Rainer Tittelbach assessed: “On the face of it, the ARD follower [from A Drilling rarely comes alone ] is quite moody, but it is also a dramaturgically the day before yesterday's cliché character comedy with a clear announcement where the commercial journey should go. After 30 minutes of being ashamed of others, the 'learning phase' begins & the film slowly gets the hang of it. More discreet would be better! "

The critics of the TV magazine TV Spielfilm only said: "As cute as toothless"
