Reinhard Straube
Reinhard Straube (born June 23, 1946 in Chemnitz ) is a German actor and radio play speaker .
Life
After training as a gardener, Reinhard Straube studied from 1966 to 1970 at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . He had engagements from 1970 at the Landestheater Halle and from 1982 to 2014 at the New Theater there . In 1972 he played the title character Edgar Wibeau in the world premiere of Ulrich Plenzdorf's Die neue Leiden des Junge W. Other well-known roles were, for example, Antonio Salieri in Amadeus by Peter Shaffer , Willi Loman in Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman , the title role inCaptain von Köpenick by Carl Zuckmayer or Philipp Klapproth in the Schwank Pension Schöller by Wilhelm Jacoby and Carl Laufs . In Halle he also appeared frequently in the Moritzburg television theater , for example as Filippetto in Carlo Goldoni's Herren im Haus (1972), as Legrand in Michel Andrés Not Afraid of Hummingbirds (1973), as Simlai as an employee in Laszlo Tabi's Night of Secrets (1973), as John Jo Mulligan in Sean O'Casey's Bedtime Story (1975), as Jürgen Hase in Rolf Neuparth's I know of nothing (1978), as the poet Hans-Rüdiger Motz in Andreas Knaup's Gaukelbrüder (1985) and as servant Joseph in Eugène Labiche's Die Journey of Monsieur Perrichon (1987)
Straube continues to appear as a guest at the New Theater Halle, including with his cabaret solo program The Happy Hypochondriac , with which he has already appeared on various stages more than a hundred times.
In the past, Straube could be seen on television in various Tatort and Polizeiruf-110 productions. In 1983 he played Kaiser Wilhelm II in a small role in the DEFA feature film Das Luftschiff . Straube also occasionally worked as a radio play speaker until the 2000s.
