Carl Laufs

Carl Laufs (born December 20, 1858 in Mainz , † August 13, 1900 in Kassel ) was successful as an author of comedies and pranks .

Together with Wilhelm Jacoby he was in Mainz Carneval Club operates and completed in 1889, the highly successful Posse Pension Schöller that arose from an idea by Jacoby and in 1890 Berlin was premiered. Jacoby had contributed nothing to the text itself; nevertheless Laufs gave him half of the current income.

In the years that followed, Laufs worked as a freelance writer in Göttingen .

Carl Laufs died as a wealthy man on August 13, 1900 in Kassel.
