action

More by chance than planned, the East German teacher Adolf Wendler and his wife Maria spent a camping holiday in 1989 in Hungary in the golden west. Before he knows it, the timpanist, who until then has always been a loyal and one hundred percent comrade, has a job in the Bavarian school service and "makes" a career in it without hesitation. It can all be started very comfortably, because Wendler and his wife will soon even become the proud owners of a smart home. Everything is going well, until one day the rebellious and recalcitrant ex-student Thomas Gorn from back then comes into his class and exposes his old teacher from GDR times as a real turnaround and formerly loyal communist.
