Susanna Simon

Susanna Simon (born July 23, 1968 in Alma-Ata , Kazakh SSR , Soviet Union ) is a German actress .

family

Susanna Simon's father comes from Leipzig and studied mathematics in Leningrad . There he met her mother Olga, a Soviet Russian from Kazakhstan who was studying electronics there , and married her. Since her parents were still studying, Susanna grew up temporarily with her grandparents in Kazakhstan.

After completing her studies in 1973, her parents moved to Leipzig in the GDR . There her sister Maria Simon was born, who later also became an actress. When Susanna Simon was 15, her father started a job as a computer specialist as a UN officer in New York . The girls were not allowed to travel with their parents and therefore grew up with their grandparents in Leipzig.

Susanna Simon is the mother of two daughters and lives with her husband in Berlin.

Simon attended the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin from 1988 and graduated in 1991 with a diploma. She received engagements at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin , the Maxim Gorki Theater , Schillertheater , and the Münchner Kammerspiele . Among other things, she took part in the plays What you want , Die Ratten , A Midsummer Night's Dream and Tales from the Vienna Woods . She became known to a wider audience primarily through the melodrama Vengeance for My Dead Child and the multi-part Anniversaries . She appeared in various television series, in 2008 regularly in Dr. Molly & Karl .
