In the Philippine capital Manila , two German vacationers are reported missing. The Federal Foreign Office assumes a hostage situation. Thomas Eick announced that employee Karla Lorenz should take over the case. During her assignment in the Philippines, she gets her young colleague Nikolaus Tanz as reinforcement. During their investigation, Lorenz and Tanz discover that the missing persons have illegally smuggled weapons abroad.
