Hildegard Schmahl

Hildegard Schmahl (* 6. February 1940 in Schlawe ) is a German theater - and film - Actress .

Life and professional history

Born in Pomerania , she grew up in Hamburg after being expelled . There she got her first engagement at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus . Her next stage stops were Braunschweig and Bern . In 1967 she played Gretchen in Faust I at the Schauspielhaus Bochum .

In the 1969/70 season she sang at the State Drama Theaters Berlin the Emilia Galotti and Minna von Barnhelm . Often under the direction of her husband Niels-Peter Rudolph put them in Berlin, Stuttgart and Hamburg numerous female figures of classical plays. Since 1987 she worked at the Vienna Theater The circle at George Tabori with on its projects. There she played in 1989 in the Shakespeare-processing Lear's shadow to King Lear .

In 1990/91 she moved to the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. Hildegard Schmahl has been part of the Münchner Kammerspiele ensemble since the 2001/2002 season . Sporadically she also took on roles in television and film as well as in radio plays.
