Reviews

"Standardized (television) comedy about the clash of two incompatible worlds, which is based on the French comedy series 'Hard' without neglecting romantic elements."

“The lively bunga-bunga comedy is based on the French TV series 'Hard'. Not at all stupid: brave and thoroughly frivolous, but good enough for 8:15 p.m., the fun doesn't rely on platitudes and takes the characters seriously. [...] A well-played fun without any clothes "

“'Sex of all things!' is better, funnier and more imaginative than the simple-minded title suggests. A fun played with the necessary seriousness and staged by director Andi Niessner with a relaxed hand, which skilfully targets the philistinism and the new bigotry of our time over long stretches. Even the numerous gags below the belt get by without too embarrassing nonsense. The biggest win here is the great actress Schmahl as the pragmatic mother-in-law Ingrid. "

“'Of all things sex' is a not unoriginal 'sex sells' comedy, which adds a criticism of social prejudice and petty-bourgeois double standards to pornography (as a subject) and an erotic ambience, and foams it up into easy-to-appreciate TV fun. The film does not purport to show what happens in the porn industry. The we-are-one-big-family romance always works well in films, but the set reality remains mere decor for the heroine's "transformation". Valerie Niehaus plays with the Grace Kelly-like purity law and with great comedic flair. Continuation possible! "
