Maria Ehrich (born February 26, 1993 in Erfurt ) is a German actress and author .

Career

In 2003, director Peter Timm hired her as a child actress for the leading role in the comedy film My brother is a dog . This earned her a nomination for the Undine Award 2005 in the category of best film debutante . After further film and television work, including a leading role alongside Veronica Ferres in the two-part Die Frau vom Checkpoint Charlie , she appeared in the three-part television Das Adlon in early 2013 . For the portrayal of the young Alma Schadt she received the New Faces Award for best young actress at the end of April 2013 . In the literary adaptation Rubinrot (2013) and its sequel, Saphirblau (2014), she played the leading role of Gwendolyn Shepherd alongside Jannis Niewöhner . In 2015 she was awarded the Golden Camera award for young talent . With emerald green she played the lead role in the gemstone trilogy for the third time in 2016.

In 2016, Ehrich dubbed Félicie, an orphan girl who dreams of dancing, in her first animated film, Ballerina .

Together with her partner Manuel Vering, Ehrich went on a seven-month trip around the world in early 2018. They processed their experiences in the book Leaving the Frame - A journey around the world without a script , the documentary of the same name opened in the cinema on October 3, 2019.

She has been part of the cast of the ZDF film and series magazine Filmgorillas since 2020 .
