Golo Euler (born September 8, 1982 in Starnberg ) is a German actor .

life and work

Golo Euler attended Maximiliansgymnasium in Munich until he graduated from high school in 2001. He studied from 2002 to 2006 at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding . Already during his training he was on stage for the Munich Academy ( Die Sexual Neurosen Unser Eltern ) and the Munich Metropolitan Theater ( Jesus von Texas , Hamlet , Trainspotting ). Further theater positions followed at Theater Halle 7 in Munich and at the State Theater in Braunschweig .

In 2006, Euler got his first leading role in a feature film alongside Henriette Heinze in the ZDF television play Auftauchen . This was followed by supporting roles in films such as Westwind (2011), Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) and Ferien (2016), as well as leading roles in cinema and television films such as Elsewhere (2014) and Lotta & the Eternal Why (2015).

Since 2009, Euler has been in front of the camera in numerous episodes of the television series Storm of Love . He was also seen from 2011 to 2012 as Commissioner Peter Schulte in the ARD pre-evening crime series Heiter bis tödlich : Henker & Richter . Also in 2011 he was awarded the German Film Award for “Best Actor” at the Munich Film Festival for his role in the TV feature film Kasimir und Karoline . In addition to Ulrich Tukur and Ulrich Matthes , Golo Euler starred in the highly praised Tatort, which has won numerous television awards : Born in pain .

With The Last Pig by Aron Lehmann and Fado by Jonas Rothlaender , the actor was represented with two films in the cinema in 2016.

This was followed by the television films Laim and the Signs of Death on ZDF and light sailors on ARD and Tatort - Hardcore . For the new ZDF series (since 2018) Schwartz & Schwartz , the actor took on one of the title roles together with Devid Striesow . In 2018 he also stood in front of the camera for the  crime scene - Under Warriors , The Dead of Salzburg , The Public Prosecutor , The Shadow Friend and for the movie The Most Beautiful Girl in the World .

In 2019 the actor could be seen in Cherry Blossoms & Demons , the sequel to Kirschblüten Hanami by director Doris Dörrie , in the cinema. For his performance in Tatort - Unter Kriegern , he was nominated as "Best Supporting Actor" for the German Actor Award 2019.

The actor is publicly committed to the Biodiversity Foundation of Dirk Steffens .
