The police officers Gerry Waiblinger and Tristan Graf von Rehnitz are new partners. The new constellation brings with it a lot of conflicts, as the two could not be more different: Gerry is a normal man, dressed informally and with his investigative methods not always on the legal side, while Tristan comes from a noble family and is always correctly and well dressed occurs.

Sat.1 began broadcasting the series in October 2012, on a Monday at 8:15 p.m. with a double episode. In the following weeks an episode was shown at 8:15 p.m. Due to the desolate audience ratings , however, the station only showed the first five episodes and thus skipped the season finale, which was made up emotionally on November 27th on Sat.1 , which started just a few months earlier .

After the great success of the German series The Last Bull and Danni Lowinski in the Sat.1 program, the station announced that it would be establishing new series. In September, It gets even bigger and through its paces started before The Cop and the Snob followed in October .
review
From Quotenmeter.de got the cop and the snob excellent criticism. The series reminds the author Manuel Weis of The Last Bull , although he notices that not negatively but positively. Furthermore, the case is at a "solid level" and the figures harmonize well with each other.
