Marleen Lohse
Marleen Lohse (born February 28, 1984 in Soltau ) is a German actress .
Life
Marleen Lohse made her debut at the age of 12 and took on roles in various series and television films during her school days. From 1998 to 2002 she played the role of Julia "Witch" Clement in the children's series Die Kinder vom Alstertal . As a child and teenager, she was also active in artistic gymnastics.
After graduating from school, Lohse continued her full-time career with roles in Wilde Jungs (2004) and in numerous television productions, including Stolberg , SOKO Leipzig and in the Tatort episodes Roter Tod (2007) and Schatten der Angst (2008). Lohse's films include Murder Hunger (2008), The Brave Little Tailor (2008), The Blue Light (2010) and the TV drama Tsunami - Life Afterwards. She also played in numerous movies, such as Vollidiot (2007), Diamantenhochzeit (2009), Maria, he doesn't like it! From 2006 to 2010 Lohse completed her studies at the Konrad Wolf University of Film and Television . The final production of Sam Shephard's web of lies , directed by Lukas Langhoff, was awarded the ensemble prize at the 2010 Theatertreffen German-speaking drama students. Lohse was also seen in Sleeping Beauty at the Central Theater in Leipzig . In September 2011, Ibsen's Ein Volksfeind premiered in Bonn, directed by Lukas Langhoff. Lohse's portrayal of the cheerful professional Petra Stockmann was mentioned positively several times in the reviews. In Ballhaus Naunynstraße she played one of five bloodthirsty vampires in the production Bloodshed in Divercity , directed by Simone Dede Ayivi .
Lohse played in several films by director Erik Schmitt . She also worked on the script for his short film Berlin Metanoia . In his first feature film Cleo , which celebrated its world premiere at the Berlinale 2019 in the Generation section , she plays the title role. In 2013 she starred in the video for Where You Stand by the band Travis , and in 2016 in the video for Protected by the band Keøma .
