action

The opportunistic yuppie Till, like his two friends Tamara and Toto, ekes out an internship. After her hopes for a permanent position are not fulfilled, Till has an unusual business idea and founds her own company with Tamara and Toto. This helps interns with contentious methods to gain more respect, respect and a better position. Till is quickly voted Young Entrepreneur of the Year. However, his success doesn't just bring him friends. Suddenly the mysterious Magnum appears, representing the rich and powerful, to buy the young company from Till. A dispute breaks out among the three friends about best course of action. The situation is further complicated by Till's half-French love of children and left-wing activist Sydelia. She came specially from France and wants to support her childhood friend Till. While Till has just become the head of his own intern consulting company and has discovered a lucrative niche in the market, Sydelia has a completely different view of the employment of free interns in the economy. The resolute activist wants to organize an uprising among interns, a nationwide general strike. With a French revolutionary spirit, a lot of vigor and the maxim “Résiste!” She tries to free Till from the capitalist world and to pull him to her side. But the young entrepreneur is only interested in sales and not in revolution. Because of his childhood experiences, Till has long had enough of demonstrations and revolutions. As a child he was constantly at demos with his parents, which he resents to this day. So Till and Sydelia both fight for their values at first, but over time they also come closer in private. When the economy then tried to take over Till's company with the help of Magnum, the only thing that helped was a general strike for interns that paralyzed the whole of Germany.

Reviews

“This is actually a bitter topic. Even if the end of the film and the Chancellor agree on more intern-friendly conditions, in reality that will remain a long way off. Jonas Grosch, the brother of Katharina Wackernagel, skillfully manages to approach the subject with cheerfulness and a wink, but at the same time to take his characters seriously. Last but not least, you can laugh because you know the situation of being an intern either yourself or from acquaintances or relatives. "

“For his first feature film work, Grosch secured the services of a few family members - following the internship principle - who probably made sure that the budget for this slightly idealistic project was kept within reasonable limits. In addition to Uncle Christof Wackernagel and his mother Sabine Wackernagel as Till's leftover parents in 68, Sister Katharina (“The Miracle of Bern”) took on the female lead. It doesn't necessarily reveal why Sydelia has to come from France - except perhaps because of the charming accent. The part of Devid Striesow, who plays a golfing devil in the shape of a big capitalist, gives the whole thing a supernatural note that is not necessary. Résiste is good ! whenever politics is dealt with in a satirical way - for example, when Till complains that he suffered from chronic cystitis as a teenager because he and his parents always had to go to the sit-ins in Brokdorf and Wackersdorf. The idea that Till's office can only be accessed via a secret door and a slide is also original, as is Lenin , since Good Bye! manipulated TV news that is often taken with pleasure and tries to mobilize the interns. Anyone who wants to see topics such as the conflict of the generations, the struggle of the (political) systems and the customs of modern start-ups presented in a light and easy way in a love story is in good hands here. “The film that is coming into cinemas today is not the social or docudrama for the internship generation, but the comedy sheds light, sometimes surreal, on the needs of those who, after tens of internships, a lot of international experience and great degrees, shed light on them - or at least hire underpaid workers.
