Sabine Wackernagel (* 1947 in Stuttgart ) is a German actress .

Life and professional development

Sabine Wackernagel comes from a family of artists. Her parents are the actress Erika Wackernagel (1925–1995) and the director and general manager at the Ulm Theater Peter Wackernagel (1913–1958). Due to her father's early death, she became a half-orphan at the age of ten. In 1960 the mother moved with Sabine and her brother Christof to Munich and married the architect Heinrich Guter there in 1961 .

Sabine Wackernagel completed an acting training in Munich and had long-term permanent engagements in Tübingen, Freiburg and Kassel . She later became known in numerous film and television roles. Since 1971 she has been with Dr. Erich Grosch married.

In April 2017, Sabine Wackernagel received the Golden Badge of Honor of the City of Kassel, among other things, for outstanding achievements in the cultural and voluntary areas.

Her younger brother, the actor Christof Wackernagel , and her children, Katharina Wackernagel as an actress and Jonas Grosch as a director, continued the family tradition as an artist. The eldest son Philipp Grosch is a mathematician.
