Robert Honold

Robert Honold (* 7. June 1872 in Langenau , † 1953 in Ulm ) was a German mechanical engineering - engineering and university teachers for turbine construction at the Technical University of Graz .

Life

Honold studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Stuttgart and at the Technical University of Darmstadt . In Stuttgart, like his brother Gottlob Honold, he became a member of the Landsmannschaft Saxonia student union . He worked as an engineer at the Escher, Wyss & Cie. employed and later became a scientific assistant at the chair for steam engines, steam boilers, pumps and blowers, as well as at the chair for water power machines and lifting pumps at the Technical University of Darmstadt.

He later worked in various companies and as a freelance civil engineer. 1916 Honold was for ordinary (the hydraulic motors and pumps, machine drawing, Hardware I, Theory and construction) of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Graz called . In the academic years 1919/1920 and 1920/1921 he held the post of dean of the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. In 1920 he played a key role in founding the Academic Landsmannschaft Viruna in Graz . In 1927 he retired and lived in Ulm from 1931.
