Sebastian Schwarz (born March 16, 1984 in Greiz ) is a German actor .

Life

Schwarz studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . During his studies he worked at various theaters in Berlin (including Danton in Dantons Tod , Deutsches Theater 2007 and Jim in Die Glasmenagerie , asked 2006) and worked for film and television.

Since January 2008 he has been a member of the Schaubühne ensemble in Berlin. There Black was seen in a Hamlet production and played Stephen in the world premiere of Ravenhill's The Cut .

In December 2008 Ibsen's John Gabriel Borkmann premiered in Rennes, in which Schwarz played the role of Erhardt. In the world premiere of David Gieselmann's comedy Die Tauben , Schwarz played the psychologist Dr. Erich Asendorf. This was followed by roles in Friedrich Hebbel's Nibelungen as "Siegfried", Edward Bonds Saved and Brecht's The Good Man of Sezuan . Then he was on stage in The Misanthrope. In 2010 he played in the world premiere of the play Perplex by Marius von Mayenburg and Dickie Greenleaf in the stage adaptation of The Talented Mr. Ripley in the Schaubühne. In 2011 he was on stage for the theater work Eugen Onegin by the Latvian director Alvis Hermanis .

In 2012 followed the role of sports teacher Markus Dörflinger in the play Märtyrer by Marius von Mayenburg, the Marquis (Alfons) de Sade Marat / Sade by Peter Weiss and the role of Vlas in Sommergäste after Maxim Gorki . In 2013, Schwarz was seen as Count Paris, Nurse and Sampson in Romeo and Juliet and as Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing at the Schaubühne. In the German-language premiere of Roberto Bolaño's epic 2666 , Schwarz was seen as Archimboldi. Then he was directed by Ingo Hülsmann for the stage adaptation of the novel Karl and the 20th century by Rudolf Brunngraber on the studio stage of the Schaubühne. In 2014, Schwarz appeared in The Marriage of Maria Braun , directed by Thomas Ostermeier, at the Avignon Festival . In November 2018, Schwarz announced that he would no longer be a permanent member of the Schaubühne ensemble from the 2019/2020 season.

He made his cinema debut with the film Polska Love Serenade (2007) based on a script by Jonas Grosch . The film was nominated for the Max Ophüls Prize . Schwarz played in Grosch's feature film debut Résiste - Aufstand der Interns and took on one of the leading roles in the musical comedy The Last Lie . Schwarz played in television series such as Wilsberg , Großstadtrevier , Tatort and, directed by Dominik Graf, in the crime series In the face of crime . In October 2014, the movie bestefreunde with Katharina Wackernagel and Sebastian Schwarz in the leading roles had its world premiere at the Hof International Film Festival . In 2017 he played the character of Frank Weber in the ARD series Frau Temme sucht das Glück . For this role, Schwarz was nominated for the television award by the German Academy for Television as best male supporting actor in 2017 .

Sebastian Schwarz moderates the quiz format Babelfish developed by Frank Oberhäußer at the Schaubühne in Berlin at irregular intervals with Georg Uecker and, together with David Ruland, designed the stage comedy Zack and Dave .

Schwarz has been a member of the German Film Academy in the Acting Section since 2016. At the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin, he works with students on scene studies at irregular intervals. He is a lecturer at the Babelsberg Konrad Wolf Film University .

Sebastian Schwarz was a member of the SPD and supported Peer Steinbrück in the federal election campaign and Heike Taubert in the election campaign for the Thuringian state parliament. He resigned from the SPD and supports the collection movement Stand Up .

Sebastian Schwarz is married to the actress Marie Burchard , has two children and lives in Berlin.
