From the diary of an Uber driver is a German drama series by the video-on-demand provider Joyn with Kostja Ullmann in the lead role. It is about the life of the father-to-be, Ben , who drives the Uber driver service in Hamburg and experiences special situations. The series is an adaptation of the Australian television series Diary of an Uber Driver , which was first released in August 2019.

The Quotenmeter.de - media journalist Sidney Schering took the series to positive. It is a worth seeing streaming series for in between or for a relaxed end of the day, in which rich stories with a red thread are present. In addition, the cast from the main and episode roles is particularly convincing. Another comedy series with a melancholy touch from Joyn's diary , which also includes Check Check or Mapa , is from the diary of an Uber driver . Schering rates the series with an overall rating of 85 percent and wishes another season. Julian Weinberger is also of the opinion that despite the thoughtful accents, the series is a charmingly staged comedy. He was particularly positive about the successful running gags and the large number of prominent guest appearances.
