Eddy Kante (* 8. October 1959 as Frank Uwe Axel Schröder in Hagen ) is a German bodyguard , actors and musicians.

Life

Edge grew up in Hagen , childhood was marked by continued physical violence by the stepfather. As a teenager, Kante fled to his aunt and subsequently became conspicuous through acts of violence. During his military service in Hamburg , he met Udo Lindenberg through an autograph request , whose name he has had as a self-made tattoo on his upper arm since his youth . In 1981, Kante served a nine-month sentence in a juvenile detention center. After his release from prison, Lindenberg worked as a bodyguard , and another three and a half year prison sentence, which he had to serve in 1989, did not change the cooperation and friendship between the two.

Edge appeared in small roles in several television series and series ( Großstadtrevier , K11 - commissioners in use , Bella Block , crime scene ) and films ( Jazz Club of Helge Schneider , No sex is no solution ) with. In the theater version of Lord von Barmbeck he played the role of Schlachter-Karl at the St. Pauli Theater in 2005 . With Udo Lindenberg he recorded a cover version of the Heintje classic " Mama " as a joint single in 2000 and can be seen in Lindenberg's music video for Ganz anders .

In November 2013, Kante von Lindenberg was "put on leave" as an employee. As a result, at the beginning of 2014, Kante filed a lawsuit against Lindenberg in which he allegedly claimed outstanding wage payments of € 563,000. His working days of up to 16 hours were paid inappropriately low over the years at just € 1,500 to € 1,800 per month. However, at the request of both parties, the court date was canceled in favor of a desired out-of-court settlement.

Since the end of 2014 Eddy Kante has been part of the so-called artist family of Olivia Jones and since then has also been guiding guests through St. Pauli with their own neighborhood tours.
