Hannes Wegener (born September 2, 1980 in Potsdam ) is a German actor .

Live and act

Hannes Wegener grew up in Potsdam-Babelsberg. As a child he gained his first experiences in theater and film. He made his cinema debut in Andreas Kleinert's Lost Landscape (1992). This was followed by the leading role in the ZDF children's film Secret - or what ?! (1994).

From 2003 to 2007 Wegener studied acting at the Konrad Wolf Film Academy in Babelsberg , where he a. a. received his training from Egon Günther .

Wegener was a guest at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater Berlin from 2007 to 2009 for the four-person play " Herr Tod does not invite but we will come anyway " directed by Nora Schlocker in one of the leading roles as Kleist.

In 2008 Wegener played his first leading role in the cinema in Résiste - Rebellion of the Interns by Jonas Grosch at the side of Katharina Wackernagel . This was followed by roles in films by Tom Tykwer Drei , in Robert Thalheim's Westwind , in Matthias Glasner's This Is Love , in Hans Weingartner's The Sum of My Individual Parts , in Marco Kreuzpaintner's Landliebe (premiere in 2016), in Toke Constantin Hebbeln's We wanted out to sea and in Uli Edels The Baader Meinhof Complex .

In 2011, Wegener played the documentary fiction Gibsy - The Life of Johann Rukeli Trollmann, the boxer of the same name at the side of Hannelore Elsner , who played his mother.

In 2012 Wegener played an Israeli hotel owner's son in the ensemble of the Macedonian cinema production The Piano Room in Hebrew .

Wegener made guest appearances in Wes Anderson's Grand Budapest Hotel and Steven Spielberg's War Horse .

Directed by Nicolai Max Hahn and alongside Peri Baumeister , Wegener played the lead role in the independent romance film Oregon Pine . The film premiered in 2016.

This was followed by the role of the antagonist Loki in the film Offline - Your life is not a bonus level , which premiered at the Max Ophüls Preis film festival in Saarbrücken in 2016.

In addition to numerous other television productions, Wegener u. a. in the film adaptation Anton Chekhov Platonov played the role of the country doctor Dr. Nikolai Ivanovich Trilezki.

In 2017, Wegener appeared in Oliver Hirschbiegel's multi-part television series The Same Sky as a homosexual teacher who rebelled against the authorities in the GDR in the mid-1970s.
