Steffen Jürgens or Steffen C. Jürgens (born July 27, 1967 in Braunschweig ) is a German actor , film director and screenwriter .

Live and act

After studying at the HBK Braunschweig , Steffen C. Jürgens switched to the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in 1997 , where he studied film directing. In 2004 his black and white debut film Der Ärgermacher was released in German cinemas, which premiered in 2003 at the Max Ophüls Preis film festival . In the feature film, Steffen Jürgens embodies the would-be writer Jochen Antrazith, who tries to get his novel “Note 6” to the German people using criminal methods, but fails.

In the late 1990s, when he was researching the short film Stuhlberg - The Youngest Manager in Europe , accompanying and filming Lolo Ferrari , “the woman with the largest breasts in the world”, on a tour of German TV talk shows and discos , Steffen C Know Juergens Lolo Ferrari's German manager Martin Baldauf. In the course of the research, Ferrari's manager moved more and more into the director's field of vision, so that he became the main character in his film Stuhlberg - The Youngest Manager in Europe and Steffen C. Jürgens embodied him under the name Daniel Luigi Baldauf . A few years later he made the documentary The General Manager or How To Sell A Tit Wonder about Martin Baldauf. The film was shown at the Munich Film Festival and the Oldenburg International Film Festival and was released in German cinemas in 2008 .

Steffen C. Jürgens also works as a freelance screenwriter and film and television actor. In 2007 he shot one of the first German Internet series as an actor. It was for the video portal watch berlin and was produced by Holtzbrinck-Verlag , among others . In the web series with the title Der Kulturterrorist , Steffen Jürgens confronts Berlin citizens, among others, with cultural , political and explosive issues as the fictional character Jochen Antrazith . In 2012 he was seen in the nationally and internationally successful German tragic comedy Oh Boy in the role of the "bitter off-theater director [s]" Ralf.
