The Life of C. Brunner is a short film by Christoph Brunner , Steffen Jürgens and Stefan Lampadius . The award-winning film premiered at the 6th up-and-coming Int. Film Festival Hannover , ran on Austrian radio , came to the cinema in 2004 as a supporting film for the feature film Der Ärgermacher and was released on DVD in stores in 2003 and 2005.

C. Brunner wants to study directing and is invited to an interview at the film school. Since the professor in charge, Mr Kubik, suffers from intestinal colic , the conversation has to take place in the toilet. While the professor is sitting on the toilet struggling with his intestines, Brunner standing in front of the toilet door and being overwhelmed has to endure sometimes unpleasant questions and present his résumé. After a while the professor abruptly ends the conversation and thanks C. Brunner and tells him that the school will get in touch with him. It remains to be seen whether C. Brunner will be accepted at the film school.
