Peter Stauch
Peter Stauch (born August 23, 1975 in Augsburg ) is a German director and screenwriter .
biography
In 1995 Peter Stauch studied dramaturgy at the August Everding State Theater Academy in Munich . After completing his intermediate diploma, he received a scholarship from the New York Film Academy in 1996 for the Diploma of Basic Filmmaking. Stauch was a member of the Berlinale Talent Campus in 2003 . In 2006 he completed his directing studies at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF) with a diploma. At the HFF he made short films that he wrote himself: Help the Old (1998) and Pieces of my Heart (2002), were awarded and received the film ratings "valuable" and "particularly valuable" with Jasmin Tabatabai as the leading actress.
In 1999 he was a member of the student jury for the International Festival of the Munich Film Schools, with jury president Roland Emmerich . In the following year Stauch worked at Emmerich's film Der Patriot as a production assistant in the 1st unit and in 2002 he worked as an internship director on the filming of The Day After Tomorrow .
In 2004 he made his first TV film With Pretty Women, All Tricks Are Allowed , produced by Wiedemann & Berg Filmproduktion . Numerous television productions for different broadcasters followed, z. B. The prince next door (2007), Claudia - The girl from till 1 for UFA Fiction (2008) and pillow fight (2011). In 2012 he shot the ZDF feature film Neue Adresse Paradies (Bavaria Film). In addition, a case for two was created: Last Words , Matula's last series case , under his direction. Stauch then shot episodes for seasons 3 and 4 of the Sat.1 series The Last Bull , which was awarded the German Television Prize in the Best Series category in the same year . Numerous series and feature films followed, including the successful RTL series Der Lehrer (2015) and the first four feature films in the Medical ARD series Die Inselärztin (2017/2018), which was filmed in Mauritius . The Falk lawyer series , which he directed, can be seen on Netflix . The international filming of the two ARD Undercover feature films ' The Amsterdam Crime ' will take place in Amsterdam in 2019 .
Since 2012 he has been a member of the BVR , the federal association of television and film directors.
