North at Northwest - Sandy is a German television film by Max Count from the year 2018. It is the fifth episode of the ARD - Police drama series North at Northwest with Hinnerk Schönemann and Henny Reents in the lead roles.

Mehmet Ösker and Jule Christiansen are each victims of two fraudsters. They gain access in police uniform and with a fake search warrant and steal from them in order to then disappear in an alleged company vehicle. Of all things, the sponsoring association prize money for the planned sanctuary behind the veterinary practice was stolen from Jule. A ring manhunt initiated by Lona Vogt remains unsuccessful because the thieves park the car in a shed, disguise themselves as bicycle tourists and cycle to the local campsite to their camper van parked there.

In the meantime, Sandy de Man appears, with whom Hauke ​​Jacobs was in a previous relationship and with whom he is still in love. She wants to persuade him to take her on a trip around the world on his boat, which Lona and Jule don't like at all. The two opponents team up against Sandy and decide to dissuade Hauke ​​from the plan.

Lona's research reveals that the two fraudsters are former police officers who use the same scam every year in a different state for two consecutive days. Therefore, she and Hauke ​​suspect that the thieves will strike again the next day, but do not know with whom. They have already chosen the organic farmer Arno Frank as their next victim. What they don't know is that he smuggles drugs into the country by sea for two dealers from Hamburg. When the fraudsters try to rob the farmer on the following day, they burst into the drug delivery on the farm and are shot by the dealers, taken away from the farm and deposited on the side of the road in their "company vehicle", which the dealers then set on fire.

The murders are secretly observed by Sandy, who happened to want to buy organic vegetables from the farmer. When the dealers leave, Arno Frank discovers them, but does not reveal them, but ties them up and packs his things to leave.

Sandy manages to get on a phone but can only redial and accidentally calls one of the dealers for help. These then immediately return to the courtyard.

In the meantime, Lona and Hauke ​​find the camper, but find no further information. Hauke ​​tries to find Sandy, whom he cannot reach by phone. Lona comes across the burning car with the two bodies and sets off with Hauke ​​to the nearby farm. Hauke ​​suspects that Sandy could be there too, because she still wanted to buy organic vegetables.

The dealers who have since returned are held up by Arno, even though they know that someone has to be there. When Lona and Hauke ​​also arrive, there is an exchange of fire. Arno rams a corkscrew into the neck of one of the dealers and is shot by the other. He hears people moving on the first floor, because Lona had climbed up onto the balcony outside to free Sandy. Lona is shot on the balcony, but still helps Sandy to get to safety. When Lona needs Sandy's help under fire, she doesn't get it, which Hauke ​​registers. But at the last moment he can shoot the dealer. Hauke ​​realizes that Sandy has not changed and is still only concerned with her own advantage.

Sandy leaves and in the end Hauke ​​gives his ship, which was previously called Sandy de Man , the new name Princess of Schwanitz .
