Johannes Zirner (born July 19, 1979 in Herdecke ) is a German actor .

Life

Johannes Zirner is the son of the actor August Zirner and brother of Leo Zirner and Ana Zirner . He completed his training (courses in acting and directing) with Klaus Maria Brandauer at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna . He had his first engagement in 2001 at the Burgtheater Vienna. In 2003 he played in Andrea Breth's production of Arthur Schnitzler's Das weite Land at the Salzburg Festival . Until the 2005/2006 season he was at the Schauspielhaus Bochuminvolved. The press praised him as a “real discovery” (Süddeutsche Zeitung) and as an actor who is “true and tight” (WAZ). The Westfälische Allgemeine Zeitung described his portrayal in Jon Fosse's Variations of Death as a "depressing homage to James Dean". With the Bochum production of Romeo and Juliet (director: David Bösch) Johannes Zirner gives guest performances in Hanover, Zurich and Winterthur.

He has been working as a freelance actor since the 2005/2006 season and is a guest at the Schauspielhaus Zürich . In January 2006 he was in the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm as Algernon Montcrieff in Oscar Wilde's play Ernst - and its deeper meaning . His last theater project, the final exam in the Admiralspalast Berlin at the side of Iris Berben , was canceled because the renovation of the theater was not completed in time.

Most recently, Zirner shot new episodes of the RTL series Arme Millionär in Berlin. In Bernd Fischerauer's home drama Gipfelsturm , he plays the leading role of the Tyrolean Josef Naus , who was the first to officially climb the Zugspitze in 1820 . The television film was shot from July to August 2006 in Tyrol and Bavaria.

In 2001 he played in the television films Julia - An Unusual Woman (directed by Holger Barthel) and Inspector Rex (directed by Hajo Gies ). In 2004 the first leading role followed in the multi-part television film The Cherry Queen for ZDF ( Siegfried , director: Rainer Kaufmann).
