Wild waves - nothing remains hidden is a German-language four-part mini - series based on a series of novels by Christiane Sadlo . The series was shot in 2010 as a ZDF / ORF co-production.

The police officer Marie Lamare is shot by a criminal on a street in Paris and is rescued as a first aider by the accidental eyewitness Paul Racine . When she woke up from unconsciousness in the hospital, she couldn't remember anything. Her father Michel Dumont, with whom she had not had any contact for years, took her to Brittany with him . There she meets Paul again, who is looking for his mother Celine Marchand. When this is run over shortly afterwards, Michel is arrested, despite his assertion that his car, the alleged accident vehicle, has been standing motionless in the garage since the death of his wife years ago. Marie finds out that someone has left the wrong track on the car and can ultimately prove her father's innocence. She also finds out about a shipwreck in which her father and his friend Leon Menec are involved.

On September 1, 2010, ZDF announced that it would have a four-part series produced in France for 2011 . The main roles went to Henriette Richter-Röhl and Johannes Zirner . The film is based on the book of the same name by Christiane Sadlo , who is better known by her pseudonym Inga Lindström .
The shooting took place from September 2nd to December 11th 2010 in Brittany .
