Katja Weitzenböck

Katja Weitzenböck (born June 10, 1967 in Tokyo ) is an Austrian actress living in Germany .

Life and accomplishments

Weitzenböck was born in Tokyo and the daughter of an engineer couple grew up in Erlangen . After graduating from high school, she actually wanted to earn money for her studies on a cattle farm in the Australian outback . Instead, she became an internationally sought-after model in New York , u. a. for Eileen Ford and Ford Models .

Weitzenböck then completed her acting training in Paris at the Franco-Américaine Cinéma et Théâtre (FACT) with Sarah Eigermann, Edwin Gerard and John Strasberg. From 1991 to 1993 she trained in dance with Karin Waehner at the Schola Cantorum Paris. Following her training, theater engagements in France (Paris) and Germany followed.

She played leading roles in, among others, Josef Rödl's Shalom, my love (ARD), Jean-Jacques Kahn's Chacun son Tour (FRANCE 2 Paris), Axel de Roches The Murderer in My House (SAT.1), Gabriel Barylli's Affair in Death ( SAT.1), Bernhard Stephans A Man for Certain Seconds (ZDF) and The Deception (ZDF).

Weitzenböck speaks English (2nd mother tongue) as well as French and Italian, and she also speaks the Franconian dialect.

She is also known to television viewers through appearances in commercials for Vorwerk . In it she played a housewife who presented herself with the words: "I run a very successful small family business."

Katja Weitzenböck was in a relationship with the author and director Torsten Schulz . She lives in Berlin with their two children.
