Robin Pilcher

Robin Pilcher (born August 10, 1950 in Dundee , Scotland ) is a British writer and son of the bestselling author Rosamunde Pilcher (1924-2019).

Life

Robin Pilcher grew up with his parents in Scotland with two sisters and a brother. He was the oldest child of Graham and Rosamunde Pilcher. His father was a jute dealer and his mother took care of the children and the house. Robin attended school in Dunfermline and Bristol and eventually went back to Scotland to study at Dundee College of Commerce . Engaged in a number of professions, Pilcher tried his hand at cowboy, farmer, photographer, tennis coach, and started a mail service with a friend.

Robin Pilcher lives with his wife Kirsty, with whom he has been married for over 40 years, in Scotland and in Andalusia (Spain), where he wants to set up a foundation in honor of his mother. The couple have four adult children and four grandchildren.

It wasn't until Robin Pilcher was almost 50 that he published his first novel in 1999, An Ocean apart (German: Beyond the Ocean ) . Four more novels followed, which were translated into different languages ​​and some were made into films.
