Christoph von Friedl
Christoph von Friedl, actually Christoph Friedl (born May 16, 1976 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor .
Life
After graduating from high school and doing military service in the armed forces , he studied interpreting and translation studies for three semesters at the University of Vienna before moving to Elfriede Ott at the Vienna Conservatory in 1996 to learn acting and directing. Even before graduating in 2000, he played on various Austrian theaters such as the Landestheater für Vorarlberg and the touring theater “Der Grüne Wagen”. Later also at the State Theater for Lower Austria St. Pölten (title role in Friedrich Torberg's “Der Schüler Gerber”), the United Theaters Graz (Next Liberty) and the Stadttheater Klagenfurt . From 2002 he was a regular guest at the Volkstheater (Vienna) until he became director of Emmy Werner in June 2005.
He is known to a broader audience through television series such as Schlosshotel Orth or Tessa - Leben für die Liebe . In the cinema was Thomas Rabitsch in the film Falco - Damn, we're still alive! , seen on television in 2009 in the crime scene episode Tree of Redemption as Georg Larcher. In 2018 he shot again for the Austrian crime scene "Baum falls" under the direction of Nikolaus Leytner.
In 2011, he took on the role of Karl Lenz in the 13-part ORF / ARD summer series The Happiness of this Earth , who is a rider at a famous Styrian stud and at the same time the brother of the protagonist. Private
Christoph von Friedl comes from a family that has worked in front of and behind the camera for several generations: his father Fritz von Friedl and his aunt Loni von Friedl are also actors, his grandfather Fritz von Friedl was a cameraman.
In summer 2010 he married the actress Eva-Maria Grein, who has since performed under the stage name Eva-Maria Grein von Friedl . The two live near Munich.
