Association of Austrian Film Actors

The Association of Austrian Film Actors ( VÖFS ), based in Vienna , was founded in 1994 (as the Association of Austrian Film Actors ) on the initiative of Miguel Herz-Kestranek and sees itself as representing the interests of producers , broadcasters , politics and the public.

The VÖFS is organized as an association and politically independent. The board works on a voluntary basis . It is the only profession-specific interest group for film actors in Austria and works to improve the labor law framework for film actors and to enforce reliable social standards.

The association is the forum for members in which job-specific questions can be raised, discussed and clarified and carries these to the responsible bodies - such as the labor market service, team 4, collecting society and social security agencies.

VÖFS offers services such as castings and runs various initiatives. He sends representatives to important committees such as the Artists' Social Insurance Fund and is a member of the umbrella association of Austrian filmmakers with a seat and a vote . He is represented in the Younion union and a member of the umbrella organization.

The board includes actors who are sent to various committees on behalf of the association. The honorary president is Miguel Herz-Kestranek.
