younion _ The Daseinsgewerkschaft ( union of community employees , art, media, sport and liberal professions until 2015 ) is a subsidiary of the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions (ÖGB for short). It was created on June 29th, 2009 from the merger of the union of community workers (GdG) and the so-called "Kulturgewerkschaft", the union for art, media, sport and liberal professions (KMSfB). Your job is to represent the interests of Austrian cities and towns of all federal states as well as employed or self-employed and professionals in the fields of art , media , education , education and sports as well as the standing or in the professions of these areas in education and training in pension situated persons . At the 2015 Federal Congress on November 20, the name was changed to younion _ Die Daseinsgewerkschaft .

According to its own statements, the union represents around 155,000 members, and its headquarters are in the ninth district of Vienna . Christian Meidlinger was confirmed as chairman at the 2015 Federal Congress . Younion conducts negotiations in employment, salary and pension law. Members have legal protection in matters of labor law, the possibility of financial benefits in emergency situations and advice on labor law matters.

The largest parliamentary groups represented in the younion are the Social Democratic Union ( FSG ), the Christian Union ( FCG ) and the Name List Consistent Interest Representation ( KIV ).
