The list of names Consistent Interest Representation ( KIV for short ) is a recognized, non-party union faction in the Daseinsgewerkschaft younion in the Austrian Trade Union Confederation (ÖGB) and has been a member of the independent trade unions in the ÖGB since it was founded .

history

The KIV was founded in 1978 by Alfred Bastecky and has continued to grow since the first elections in 1978 (1 mandate). Since 1990 the KIV has been the second largest group in the staff representation and trade union in Vienna. In November 1997 the KIV was recognized by the ÖGB as a parliamentary group. Since January 2003 the KIV has also been an association.

In the last trade union elections in 2014, the KIV was able to secure 22 mandates across Vienna, and 86 in the employee representative elections.

Political orientation and content

The KIV is a non-partisan trade union group and occurs in union elections , Staff Committee elections , council elections , Disabled confidants elections and since 2014 in Labor -Wahlen (as part of the EYE / UG) on. Their political orientation can be described as left-alternative. The KIV is active in Vienna as well as in communities in Upper Austria , Vorarlberg , Carinthia , Styria and Tyrol . However, the focus of the KIV mandate is currently the municipality of Vienna.

The political goals and demands of the KIV include demands in the area of ​​salary, health and justice, such as the abolition of employee appraisals, an increase in the basic salary, participation of those affected in the salary policy, equal pay for work of equal value, no privatization or outsourcing of public services, fair Distribution policy, no abuse of sick leave by employers, an end to precarious working conditions . The other priorities and goals of the KIV include advice, support and help for self-help as well as a comprehensive democratization of the ÖGB, the strengthening of democratic participation rights of the union members and a critical examination of the social partnership representation policy.
