Jochen Schölch

Jochen Schölch (born February 14, 1966 in Leimen ) is a German theater director and co-founder and director of the Munich Metropolitan Theater.

Life

In 1998 he followed the call to the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding , where he has been head of the drama course since 2002. In March 2006 he was appointed professor and in 2007 he was awarded the Schwabing Art Prize. On June 13, 2007 he married the actress Lilly Forgách .

His most successful productions include The Three Lives of Lucie Cabrol (2001) and the play without words Das Ballhaus - Memory of a Century (2003).

Jochen Schölch was awarded the medal Munich shines in silver from the state capital of Munich for his great services to theater culture in Munich .
