Aron Lehmann (* 1981 in Wuppertal ) is a German film director and screenwriter .

life and work

Aron Lehmann was born in Wuppertal . He grew up in the Nördlinger Ries meteorite crater ( North Swabia in Bavaria ). After graduating from high school , he moved to Berlin and worked there from 2003 to 2005 for various film productions in the set management department before completing his directing studies at the Konrad Wolf University of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg under the direction of Andreas Kleinert . After several short films, he shot his first feature film " Kohlhaas or the proportionality of means " in August / September 2011 , which opened the series "New German Cinema" at the Munich Film Festival in 2012 .

Lehmann and his partner, actress Rosalie Thomass , have been the parents of a son since 2016.
