action

Years ago, Noa came to Berlin from Israel to study. When the research funds for her scholarship are cut, it is also the end of her heart project, a dictionary for untranslatable words. Since her friend Jörg is also applying for a job in Stuttgart, she spontaneously flies to Israel. At home she wants to switch off from everyday life and leave the feeling of isolation behind. It doesn't take long, however, before Noa realizes that the old homeland feels just like the city she fled from. Suddenly Jörg appears, exactly on the national day of remembrance, so that Noa's two worlds finally collide.

criticism

The film service judges that the “psychologically differentiated debut film” treats “different layers and stories without losing sight of the narrative of an insecure identity”. The "well-performed ensemble film is about communication and language, family sensitivities and the question of how many places you can be at home without losing yourself".
