Borchert and the Deadly Trap is a television film from the crime series Der Zürich-Krimi . It was produced for Das Erste on behalf of ARD Degeto . The first broadcast of the seventh episode of the film series was originally scheduled for January 16, 2020, but was postponed due to the broadcast of the main round of the 2020 European Handball Championship and took place on April 23, 2020 in the first. Before the planned broadcast in January, the film was already available for three days in the ARD media library.
action
Borchert wants to toast three years of successful collaboration with his superior Dominique Kuster and her father, his very best friend Reto Zanger. The evening is canceled because Reto Zanger is called to Geneva at short notice for a mandate. His daughter is therefore supposed to represent him the next day at a court hearing in Zurich. The trial to reduce the sentence of inmate Alexander Böni takes a dramatic turn when he takes the other negotiating parties hostage.
background
The film was shot from November 15, 2018 to December 17, 2018 on locations in Zurich and the Czech capital Prague .
criticism
The critics of the television magazine TV Spielfilm summed it up: “Strong acting, original plot” and rated it with a thumbs up.
Tilmann P. Gangloff wrote on tittelbach.tv : “Once again, Roland Suso Richter has refined a captivating subject into a high-gloss thriller. Wolf Jakoby's story is so good, however, that it might not even have required the special skills of this director to make a good film out of it. ”Furthermore:“ Offenses in the field of white-collar crime are actually good crime fiction; if only the subjects weren't so complicated. The seventh 'Zurich crime thriller' is, however, an excellent example of how a suitable background can be used for a gripping high-voltage thriller. "
