Robert Hunger-Bühler
Robert Hunger-Bühler (born May 7, 1953 in Sommeri- Hefenhofen , Thurgau ) is a Swiss actor , director and author .
Life
Robert Hunger-Bühler, son of a carpenter and a typist, grew up in Sommeri, Bottighofen and Winterthur before the family, which had now grown to six children (four girls, two boys), moved to Aarau . There he attended schools and then completed an apprenticeship as a structural draftsman. He played many kinds of sports, such as gymnastics, athletics, cross country running, and boxing; he also played the trombone. In football he made it to the Inter-Juniors at FC Aarau as a left wing.
In 1971 he staged the wedding for the school theater meeting with class 4C of the Aarau Tchechov teacher training college . After he finished the recruiting school as a cyclist and recited Cechov's monologue on the harmfulness of tobacco at a wedding , he decided to become an actor. After attending drama school in Zurich and studying theater and philosophy in Vienna, Hunger-Bühler initially worked as an actor and director in Vienna, Bonn, Düsseldorf and Freiburg. Further stations were the Freie Volksbühne Berlin , the Volksbühne at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz , the Schaubühne at Lehniner Platz , the Berliner Ensemble , the German Theater , the Burgtheater Vienna and the Kammerspiele Munich.
He worked with directors Dieter Haspel , Hans Gratzer, Karl Welunschek, Paul Burian, Christoph Nel, Ulrich Heising, Jossi Wieler , David Mouchtar Samorai, Jürgen Kruse , Frank Castorf , Andrea Breth , Claus Peymann , Luc Bondy , Barbara Frey , Stefan Pucher , Johan Simons, Matthias Hartmann Klaus Michael Grüber , Peter Zadek Christoph Marthaler , Milo Rau . Robert Hunger-Bühler played Mephisto in Peter Stein's legendary Faust production .
In 1974 he founded the theater group 85 in the International Student House in Vienna, staging in Vienna, Berlin, Bonn, Potsdam, Freiburg i. Br., Bern, Basel and Zurich: Woyzeck , Büchner (Vienna), produced with Anne Tismer Presence of Memory , Jonke (world premiere, Bonn, Museum Abteiberg Mönchengladbach), Ubu Roi , Jarry; Automat , Julian Green, The exit of the poet R. Walser from the Lit. Verein , Gert Hofmann, Theater Freiburg; Maria Stuart , Schiller (Theater Potsdam); The gang , Einar Schleef (Volksbühne Berlin); The Bachus Festival , Arthur Schnitzler (Theater Kiel); The piggy bank , Labiche (Theater Basel); Everything can be endured, just not overjoyed , Robert Walser, Christoph Storz stage (Bern, Aarau, Zurich); Oblomov , Gontscharov, (Peter Zumthor stage, Schauspielhaus Zurich). Robert Hunger-Bühler has been a member of the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus Zurich since the 2002/2003 season . He is a member of the German Academy of Performing Arts . and the European Film Academy
Hunger-Bühler received numerous invitations to the Berlin Theatertreffen and international festivals and was honored as Best Actor for portraying Casanova at the Varna Film Festival in 2004. The Federal Office of Culture awarded Robert Hunger-Bühler the 2015 Theater Prize for Outstanding Actor . The Aargauer Kuratorium honored Hunger-Bühler in 2016 for his artistic work with a work contribution. Robert Hunger-Bühler was married to Anne Tismer for the first time and has the daughter Okka Hungerbühler with her. With Sarah Bellin he has the son Wyatt Cy.
