Klaus Dermutz

Klaus Dermutz (born 1960 in Judenburg ) is an Austrian author and journalist.

Life

Dermutz studied theology, philosophy and sociology in Graz and Berlin . In 1992 he received his doctorate from the University of Graz with a dissertation on the theater of Tadeusz Kantor in the field of theology.

From 2001 to 2009 he edited the book series "Edition Burgtheater" with the Burgtheater director Klaus Bachler . He published books about the Burgtheater from 1955 to 2005 and the theater work by Tadeusz Kantor, Christoph Marthaler , Peter Zadek , Gert Voss , Otto Sander , Andrea Breth , Ignaz Kirchner , Martin Schwab and Klaus Michael Grüber . He published on cultural topics in the time , the Süddeutsche Zeitung , the Frankfurter Rundschau and in Theater heute . He also wrote about football and presented the biography of coach Ernst Happel with Genius and Grantler . In 2015, Sepsis was his debut novel.

Klaus Dermutz lives in Berlin.
