Simone Keller

Simone Keller (born March 23, 1980 in Weinfelden ) is a Swiss pianist .

Life

Simone Keller studied at the Zurich University of Music and Theater in the piano class of Hans-Jürg Strub and obtained her concert diploma in 2006. She attended various master classes with Andrzej Jasiński , Siegfried Mauser , Karl Engel , Hartmut Höll and Werner Bärtschi, among others . In addition, she received fortepiano lessons from Michael Biehl, organ lessons from André Manz and attended the song class of Daniel Fueter and Hans Adolfsen.

Keller received several prizes and awards, including first prize at the Landolt competition for piano, second prize at the Hans Ninck competition for piano and the EMCY chamber music prize for song accompaniment at the European Classic Festival Ruhr .

Keller performs as a soloist and chamber musician in various formations and styles at home and abroad. She is a founding member and artistic co-director of ensembleTZARA, played a. a. at the Musikkollegium Winterthur , the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie , the Collegium Novum Zurich and with conductors such as Jac van Steen , Peter Ruzicka , Heinz Holliger and Johannes Kalitzke .

She is particularly interested in contemporary music, numerous new pieces were created at her suggestion and were premiered by her. She can also be seen and heard in productions on Swiss television, Swiss radio and in various theater productions.

Simone Keller has received numerous guest invitations, most recently in 2019 from Columbia University and the Manhattan School of Music as well as Brown University .
